I m confused about this result.(1)OVARIES: Both are visualized with normal stroma appearance and primordial follicles.(2)ADNEXA:Bilaterally free. No cystic or solid mass seen. (3)CUL-DE-SAC:Marked free fluid collection noted (4)IMPRESSION: pelvic inflammatory disease (pID)
Your USG findings suggests gross fluid in cul-de-sac.Generally moderate to gross fluid in cul-de-sac may indicate PID(pelvic inflammatory disease). Your condition also need clinical correlation and further investigations. You may need routine hemogram and diagnostic laproscopy.Laproscopy may be required for direct visualization of pelvic organs. Endometrial biopsy can be done if needed. Firstly, you may need to take antibiotics. Surgery is required in refractory cases. Your partner also need proper evaluation.
